Boy do I love Christmas time
As my wife and I are out shopping this weekend, I decided to make a purchase for myself. After all it's better to give than receive right. So I gave to myself. I walked past the Apple store several times and eventually gave in at a moment of weakness. I purchased AirPort Express with Air Tunes. For those of you that don't know what this product is, give it a read. In a nutshell, it allows me to broadcast music stored in iTunes to my stereo without wires. Only problem is, I don't have a stereo to broadcast too. A trip to best buy an hour or so later fixed that. Against the advice of an audiophile friend at work, I bought a low end Pioneer surround sound setup. It came with a receiver, DVD player, 5 surround sound speakers and a sub. I only hooked up the front 3 speakers and the sub. I'm looking for decent sound that is loud enough to carry through the living room and kitchen. This setup fits the bill nicely with a low entry cost. I'm sure my friend from work is correct with his advice, but I think my ears aren't used to good clean sound so it is hard for me to tell the difference.
