Bill O'Reilly in St. Louis

On Friday I had the pleasure of entering the No Spin Zone in downtown St. Louis. Bill O'Reilly was attending a function in St. Louis and 97.1 FM Talk put on a lunch at the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark that Bill hosted. Even though he was only on stage for 50 minutes or so, it was really exciting to hear him speak in person. Outside of a few negative comments about our left leaning newspaper, he had many good things to say about St. Louis.

Here are some photos that I took.

Re: Bill O'Reilly in St. Louis

Why do I always find out about these things too late? :)

Re: Bill O'Reilly in St. Louis

I guess you don't listen to 97.1 because they advertised this to death. If he comes back, I'll be sure and let you know so you don't miss it again.

Re: Bill O'Reilly in St. Louis

Was he the one giving the Advanced Portlets with GRuby in the MeadowBrook room? Dang!! I was in the Mocking JSF session.

You need help :)

Re: Bill O'Reilly in St. Louis

You note that he had many good things to say about St. Louis. Why is this worth noting? Didn't you know that that's the shtick? And as for you being excited to hear him talk in person, well, that's just sad.

Re: Bill O'Reilly in St. Louis

I'll say it again.  Most comments on blogs that add absolutely no value are generally left by people too shy to leave their name.  With the quality of this comment, I can understand why it was signed anonymous.  I'd encourage you to actually state an opinion about something.  Debate is a good thing.  Why is it sad that I looked forward to him coming to town?  What position are you in opposition to with respect to O'reilly?  Do you have an opinion about anything other than spewing vile on random blogs?

I'm not surprised.  I have many good things to say about St. Louis - it's one of the nicest places I've lived.  Good parks, good mountain biking, good weather (except tornados), good culture, easy plane ride to either coast, Mississippi river, ...  I'm looking forward to visiting again in October and given the same choices as I had in the past, I'd have chosen to stay rather than move to Providence.

Re: Bill O'Reilly in St. Louis

We would love to have you back in town :)

Look me up, when you arrive.  We can get the families together and grab dinner.
